Overview
The Camping and Caravanning Club is a UK membership organisation with a large and diverse user base. With no internal development team, the organisation relies on specialist partners to support and evolve its digital services.
The Challenge
The Club needed ongoing support for its customer-facing membership systems, alongside architectural guidance across a landscape involving multiple third-party providers. Without in-house development capability, there was a need for a partner who could maintain core systems, provide architectural oversight, and ensure consistency across internal and external services.
The Approach
Black Marble provides ongoing support for the Club’s core digital platform, acting as both delivery partner and technical advisor. The solution centres on:
- A single sign-on capability using Duende IdentityServer
- Service Fabric-hosted REST services to integrate internal and external systems
- A unified interface layer enabling communication across modern and legacy platforms This approach allows multiple systems and providers to operate cohesively as part of a single platform.
Knowledge Transfer
The engagement includes ongoing guidance to help the Club understand and adapt to changes in modern technologies and platforms.
Outcome
The Club benefits from a single, consistent point of contact for both system support and architectural advice. This model ensures continuity across its membership services, improves coordination between third-party providers, and supports the ongoing evolution of its digital platform.
Ongoing Work
Black Marble continues to support and evolve the platform as the Club’s requirements develop over time.
