who are we?

Rik Hepworth, IT Director

Rik joined Black Marble in 2006 bringing with him an impressive track record in IT - for over 15 years he has been involved at some level with almost every aspect of computing technology and service provision. He spent several years at the University of Bradford, where as a senior staff member he worked in systems design and installation, hardware and software support, procurement and purchasing, tender management, project management and strategic planning. In addition Rik is highly skilled in web development using Web Standards, and has a good understanding of the legal requirements covering website design.

Combining a management degree from the well-respected Bradford University School of Management, professional marketing qualifications and technical experience, Rik brings an original perspective to the projects he works on. Over the years he has managed large-scale rollouts of desktop systems, managed enterprise-level server solutions and create standards-compliant, accessible websites.

Rik is a Chartered IT Professional with the British Computer Society, has a DipM (Diploma in Marketing), awarded by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and is a Certified Scrum Master.
