TFS for the small team – hosted in the cloud
9:30 registration | 10:00 start | lunch at 12:00
Previous versions of Visual Studio Team Foundation Server (TFS) have required that a team have a server at their office. This is not always that convenient for small or distributed teams. With the previews of the next release of TFS (no date announced as yet), Microsoft has shown a hosted version of TFS that runs on their Azure service. This allows a team to collaborate on the same code from any location without having to consider the IT issues of owning and managing the physical box.
In this session we look at the hosted version of TFS, its UI, the new features it exposed from TFS vNext and how to integrate with other systems.
Note the standard non-hosted version of TFS uses the same UI as the Azure version so this session will be of interest even if you plan to host your own TFS vNext.
