Black Marble demonstrates the Samsung SUR40 to Government Departments

Black Marble (March 2012)

Black Marble spent an exciting day in London recently, showing how the innovative Samsung SUR40 for Microsoft Surface could drive innovation and better modes of working in government. Visitors to the Microsoft stand at the HMRC and DWP Partner Expo saw Black Marble show how leading edge technology can improve the way organisations communicate and collaborate. The SUR40 is unique in its ability to perceive objects that are placed upon it, and Black Marble used a number of software products to relate the technology to staff from DWP, HMRC and other government departments.

“It’s always fun to show people something genuinely unique” said Black Marble’s IT Director, Rik Hepworth. “We were pleased that we could help our friends at Microsoft and I think it really inspired some creative ideas about how the technology could make a difference to how people work.”
